Not at all! 60% of the people on our tours are between 40 and 65 years old, 20% are younger than 40, and 20% are older than 65. They all share a love of roads less traveled and having an authentic Irish experience. What matters most is not your age, but your mobility and comfort with an active travel style. As long as you have a reasonable level of fitness and mobility, you’ll be able to fully enjoy the experience. If you’d prefer to skip a particular activity, that’s perfectly fine too.
These tours are fairly easy going and most involve easy walks to sites. However, please note:
- You should have an average fitness level and moderate mobility. Bring a walking stick if you’d like.
- You should be able to go on walks along uneven surfaces, up hills, and carry your bags to your room.
- To get to sites, walks can be 10 – 20 minutes and some involve gravel or dirt roads.
- Most people take them at their own pace.
- If you’re just not feeling up to it that day, you can always opt out.
