i just returned from the most amazing Go West Tour. Our tour guide, Neil aka Cash, shared his vast knowledge of Irish history, traditions, and folklore while exploring the beautiful countryside and visiting historical and meaningful sites. He was always so helpful in finding great places to eat, where to hear the best Irish music, and open to any ideas we came up with. The accommodations were outstanding, each providing the famous full Irish breakfast. This was my third trip to Ireland and by far, the most memorable. If you want to experience the true spirit and culture of this beautiful country, choose Inroads Ireland.

Over Hill and Dale on Inroads Ireland Go West Tour June 2025 It was spectacular, with the Inroads Ireland Go West tour. Our tour guide Cash aka Neil was delightful, knowledgeable, flexible and quite a funny storyteller. While I have been to Ireland before, this trip provided me an opportunity to see sites/landscapes and beautiful views while off the beaten track. Our trip included Inishbofin island where I never would have visited had I not been with this tour. All our accommodations were just grand at each place we stopped overnight and near places where we could enjoy the Irish culture and music often. I highly recommend this tour for a trip of a lifetime.

We just got back from your Go West Ireland Tour and it was an incredible experience... everything we had hoped for. Our tour guide "Cash" was the best! He made this tour an amazing experience for everyone. He had the perfect combination of knowledge, humor, patience, and flexibility. If you want to truly see what Ireland is all about--this is your tour. We will definitely be back... and hopefully, we can get Cash as our tour guide again.

Smiling eyes! We just returned from Inroads Ireland's Go South tour. We were referred by friends — one of whom just finished her fourth tour with this operator — and the experience more than lived up to our expectations. I feel certain we will get back to Inroads Ireland for another tour. The trail begins in Dublin. If you come into Dublin a day early, as we did, use the hop-on, hop-off buses and make the rounds. There’s plenty to see. Before you hop on, Trinity College is just a short walk, if you’re staying at Buswells Hotel. I did not think in time to make a reservation to see the Book Of Kells — circa 800 AD — at the college library, a mistake I hope you won’t make. We left the city on a highway, but after a short while we turned off and were on country roads for the duration. Our van was quite new, featured full headroom, plenty of glass, climate control, and comfortable seating. In other words, it was more like a small but modern bus. The van's capacity was 17, but the tour was limited to 14. My strength as a writer is not description, but as someone from the much-forested state of Maine, I found Ireland's rolling green countryside compelling. So too were the Mizzen Head Signal Station, Ross Castle, the Slea Headland along the Dingle Peninsula, the Cliffs of Moher, and so on... you get the picture. And although we had heard cautionary tales about the weather, in mid-September we had Fahrenheit temps in the 70s and blue skies until the last day or so of the excursion. Even then, we were spared rain. Our accommodations along the way were far more than adequate, and all offered an excellent breakfast. Two inns — Bridge Street Townhouse in Kenmare and the Greenmount Guesthouse in Dingle — I would single out as world class. And Dingle is a great town for a layover day. For all of this, the highlights of the trip were the people we met along the way and especially Jonny, our driver. Jonny is blessed with reverent knowledge of his homeland and its history, which he shared with us in witty and articulate fashion. He is also a skillful navigator, and you will take my point when you travel the back roads of Ireland.

Do Indeed Go West with Inroads Ireland! Wanting to visit the area of Ireland where my maternal grandparents were born and emigrated from, I discovered online the Go West tour offered by Inroads Ireland and realized it was the perfect match for me. Not only was I able to visit where my grandparents were born, but with the help of our fantastic tour guide, Hugh, I was able to make contact with second cousins I never before met. While the trip to County Mayo was special and sentimental for me, the entire tour was one of the best experiences of my life. And what made this tour so great was our tour guide, Hugh. I developed an immense respect for him and for the pride he displayed in his native country through his knowledge and command of Irish history, its trials and tribulations, the lessons learned from this history, its traditions and people, and the contributions that Ireland has made as a member of the world community. The places we visited were not the typical tourist sites, but instead, were places that made Ireland the special place it is. The places we visited helped me to better understand Ireland’s history and appreciate its natural beauty. They created lifetime memories and beautiful photographs. I highly recommend Inroads Ireland. The tour group was small. We traveled in comfort and our accommodations were highly satisfactory. When I return to Ireland for a second visit, it will be on one of Inroads Ireland other tours.

We recently toured with Inroads Ireland. We did all 3 tours offered. This was a return to Inroads after having toured with them a few years ago. The tour guides are great! Knowledgeable and helpful and fun! The small sized bus enables us to get to places big buses can’t. The history shared was wonderful and heartbreaking. The hotel accommodations were exceptional with wonderful breakfasts. Fantastic customer service!

InRoads Ireland Go North Tour Returned home two weeks ago and still can’t stop thinking about the incredible sights we saw! Our tour guide and driver Hugh was fantastic! So knowledgeable, so patient and fun. Whenever we stopped there was an interesting sight for us to enjoy. We hiked, we walked we learned. We’re already planning to go on their Go South tour! If you love nature and want to stay away from touristy places this is the perfect tour. We loved every minute of it and highly recommend InRoads to see the real Ireland.
